| Deep breathing is the best way to calm the nervous system, but many of us don't know how, and haven't developed the muscles (yes, muscles) that we need for proper respiration. There are many yoga poses and sequences that help with depression and anxiety. Yoga teaches us to be gentle and loving towards ourselves and others. You will feel better about your body and connected to your breath, cultivating peace of mind. Nothing feels better than coming to class, getting a great work-out, and knowing that you are taking care of yourself.
